A Taste of Camp

Two of my jellybeans are brownies, we have a wonderful troop, and have enjoyed our first year as brownies. I too was a girl scout and have found memories of that chapter of my life.   Yesterday we all enjoyed a fun day at a sample of girl scout camp. Face painting, arts and crafts, group games, and more. I personally loved the GS historical fashion show, and seeing the scout book I used as a GS! Not sure I liked seeing it on the historical table though!    Would I let my jellybeans do an over night camp? Probably not, but a day camp this summer might be a perfect opportunity to for the girls.

Girl Scouts this morning, Friends in the afternoon and church in the evening...loved our Saturday!

Park Junkie?

What a nice Friday, we started the day with a visit and donuts from Grandpa, then after lunch we headed to Freestone park for a little sunshine and play.

I've become a park junkie, another marathon 4 hour day at the park!  Today we ventured to Freestone Park to feed the ducks which lead into riding the rides, rolling down the hills and then going on a real egg hunt. We never even made it to the playground.
We learned that bread is actually bad for ducks
so we brought oats

All day ride pass for 4 was $36.00.
The girls road that much in probably the first  half hour.

A real egg hunt, we found 3 nests in our quest!

Desert Color Walk

Day 3 of Spring Break:  My Jellybeans enjoyed a leisurely day, playing in their pj's watching a few cartoons and then they started to sound like an old married couple bickering and arguing. Time to get out of the house!  We grabbed some drinks and went on a color walk as the desert is in full bloom. They shared the camera and actually took some great picture, my two favorites:

Love all the color this time of year!

Mirror Mirror

Though my heart belongs at the beach 24/7, I have to say I LOVE staying home during spring break. Having time to get organized and enjoying projects.  Nothing exciting, no trip to Italy, just simple satisfaction.

Day 2 of Spring Break Highlights:

Framed the bathroom mirror!
Met with the photographer and choose the girls fairy pictures!
Can't wait to show you all!
The girls made homemade yogurt popsicles!

Loved eating outside, the kids playing and staying up late!

You Want One...You Know You Do

Its that time of year, to satisfy ones addiction!  We've been spending part of each weekend dealing cookies on the street, enticing innocent victims to give into their addiction.
The girls get so excited when they make a sell or generate a donation for their troop! Really how can one say No to these cookie pushers?

Take our poll and let us know what your cookie of choice is!
