Setting the Table

We've been working on setting the table properly. To help the girls learn  the order of what goes where. I made   a little template and they had to decorate their table setting/place mat and be able to tell us a short story about their place mat.  I had the place mats laminated and we use them to reinforce a proper table setting.  The first week they set their own spots, the second week they each have taken a turn setting the table for the family.

After creating their stories, this really helped them to remember the order of our table settings. Now I see them
acting out their characters on the table.

Rope Runners

Have you ever heard of a rope runner? I had not until, our girl scout leader sent us the opportunity to be part of the rope runner derby.  We enjoyed this event immensely.  I could see how this could be not only a fun event but a way to teach science.

Heading to the races

Trinity's butterfly won :)

The girls made it to third place and had to race
against each other.  The first race was a tie.
The tie breaker gave Sadie and her bat a win by
a smidge!

 Simply Fun!

Is this Your House?

The bunny bandits struck last night and had so much fun leaving their gifts to their unsuspecting targets. Ding dong ditching with gifts and notes of appreciation :) .  So much fun that they really wanted to go do more!

Happy Easter!

Eggstra Special Eggs

Aren't these eggs cute? I saw this in the Family Fun magazine and just had to sit the girls down to make a few. It was a great to sit around the table with the girls as they created, shared along with lots of giggles.

Watermelon or just as easily made into a strawberry
depending on the size of your seeds!

Next year these cuties might just end up on someones door step filled with 6 jellybeans and a basket of chocolate as the one never knows when those bunny bandits will strike!

Happy Spring!
